Board Policies & Operating Procedures

The River Bend Golf & Recreation Society is a not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, who are appointed to a three year term of service by the City of Red Deer, the owners of the golf course and park. The Society governs the River Bend Golf & Recreation Area as an outside agency and employs a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer to manage the day-to-day operations of the property.

Directors meet together monthly to address the business of the Society as a Board and also serve on one or more of the Society's standing committees; Finance, Grounds, Income, Policy, Human Resources and Winter Sports Advisory. These committees are advisory to the Board and to Management in the strategic planning and daily operations of the facility.
