OUR COURSE

The Red Deer River majestically wraps itself around the River Bend Golf Course and 420 acres of forested parkland. With an 18 hole, par 72 championship course, a 9 hole Mini-Links course, a large Driving Range with matt and grass tees, two pitching greens and a large putting green. 


Our PGA certified professionals teach through our first-class Teaching Centre inclusive of video swing analysis. Professionals can outfit you for a new set of clubs, offer regripping and more in our Pro Shop.

ROB MACPHERSON

General Manager

Rob is very familiar with the golf and recreation industry. He has demonstrated the ability to instill a high level of customer service with all his staff members. In addition, Rob has implemented many innovative ways in meeting the changing market. Besides golf, Rob enjoys curling, hockey, and both down hill and cross-country skiing.

PHIL MCCLUSKEY

Head Pro

Born in England, my family moved to Red Deer in 1977. Phil started golf at the Red Deer Golf CC at age 11. Phil began as a golf pro at Hidden Valley Golf Resort, which then started at Dinosaur Trail in 1993 and have been there until February 2019 when he made his move to River Bend. Phil and his wife have two beautiful children and often spend time at their sporting events. Phil's love for competitive goIf derives from the simplicity of you being in competition with yourself. His goal is to leave you feeling happy to be here!

LOGAN HILL

Associate Pro & Club Fitter

Born and raised in  Red Deer, Logan got into the game of golf when he was 12, and got his first season pass at River Bend when he was 13. Logan quickly fell in love with the game and started playing competitively.  Logan is passionate about the game of golf because you are responsible for all the shots you hit and because the people that you meet along the way. His first job in the industry was scrubbing clubs at the country club in 2012, and his first job as a golf professional was April of 2019 at River Bend.
